Appreciation Dinner for
Auxiliary and Volunteers |
|
On Tuesday evening, April
22nd there was a great turnout for the CHC Appreciation Dinner for
the Ladies Auxiliary and volunteers who helped out during the year.

The Holy Family Villa was filled
with guests in a beautifully decorated restaurant-like setting.

After guests dined on a wonderful meal
provided by the CHC Dietary, they were entertained by Jenee Kraemer
and her father, Pastor Jim Kraemer.

Then, Dorothy Fenske introduced Mary
Ann Sheets-Hanson, the director of Asante, who gave a presentation
about the villages that she works with in Africa.

She and her husband provide an
outlet for the all the wonderful hats, dresses, batik work,
stationery, carvings and other art work that the African ladies
create. It is their mission, or service, and all the money that is
earned is sent back to the villagers in Africa.

At the end of the program, everyone
enjoyed browsing and shopping among the colorful African clothing
and art pieces. Many of the Auxiliary volunteers had fun modeling
the hats and clothing, and a great time was had by all!
